The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is the voice of dental education. The mission of ADEA is to lead individuals and institutions of the dental education community to address contemporary issues impacting dental education and dental research, higher education, and the delivery of oral health care for the health of the public. ADEA is seeking an experienced, responsible person to fill the role of Professional Development Manager in the Division of Professional Development and Meetings (DPDM).

This position acts as program manager for multiple ADEA professional development activities including management responsibility for the ADEA Leadership Institute, ADEA Leadership Institute Alumni Association, select awards, scholarships and fellowships programs, Continuing Education (CE) Letter of Verification and Education Participant Evaluation Processes.? Primary responsibilities include working with the Professional Development Director to create and disseminate participant evaluation forms and satisfaction surveys for more than 15 ADEA?s educational events, managing the application process for award programs, coordinating programming and logistics for the Alumni Association?s events at the ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, managing and executing all program operations logistics for the ADEA Leadership Institute, including speaker management, program marketing and budget development.

The successful candidate must have the professional maturity and possess the capability to make correct assessments of priorities and to take the necessary action in the absence of the supervisor.? This position requires a person who is self-motivated, confident, proactive, and acutely attentive to details.? In addition, the person who holds this position must produce high quality work under tight timeframes and project a professional image through in-person and phone interaction.
